|| Shri Guru Vasudev Yantra ||

On the auspicious occasion of Shri Datta Jayanti dated 27thDec2012, Param Poojya Sadguru Shri Bapat Guruji released 'Shri Guru Vasudev Yantra' with the divine blessings of Shripad ShriVallabha, Shrimad Narasimha Saraswati Swami Maharaj and Paramhansa Parivrajakacharya Shrimat Vasudevanand Saraswati Tembe Swami Maharaj. Deep meditation on this Yantra alongwith the simultaneous chanting of “Namo Guravey Vasudevay” mantra has a huge potential of releasing tremendous spiritual energy. This energy shall be useful for the betterment of not only the individual devotee, a society or a nation, but it will also help in achieving the complete welfare of the entire universe. With these noble intentions, Shri Guruji has given this Yantra sadhana to all the devotees. The powerful siddha mantra `Namo Guravey Vasudevay' has been beautifully embedded into this yantra and together they form a master key that opens up the spiritual path of bhukti (worldly fulfillment) and mukti (salvation).

It was Poojya Sadguru Shri Bhau Maharaj Karandikar a Siddha and a prominent devotee of P.P. Shrimat Vasudevanand Saraswati Tembe Swami Maharaj, who initially gave this Naam Jap sadhana (chanting the name of the Lord) to the devotees. His spiritual resolution of 151 crores chanting of Naam Jap was later achieved under the spiritual guidance of Parampoojya Sadguru Shri Bapat Guruji, after Poojya Shri Karandikar Maharaj left for the heavenly abode in the year 2004. Shri Guruji inspired the devotees to complete the resolution by chanting the Naam Jap in groups and also through the Jap offerings made to the Yadnya (sacrificial fire). Now the Naamjap has attained the status of a siddha (i.e. proven to be effective) mantra.

'Namaha' is the power of a devotee's surrender, 'Vasudev' is the wedge which helps in felling the tree of his bad karma (bad deeds) and 'Guravey' is the divine seed (beej) that adds to the potency of the mantra. This completes the trinity required for any group of words to attain the status of a mantra according to the ancient Indian spiritual laws. The Yantra regulates and monitors the flow of energy that is generated while chanting the mantra with concentration. The Yantra has been carefully designed by Shri Guruji after critically studying the ancient yantra shastra (the yantra science). It is complete with various geometrical figures such as a point, circle, triangle, lotus and a square. The ॐkar (Omkar) which is the central feature of this yantra, simultaneously indicates the origin and the end of this universe and has been encapsulated in a triangle. On the outer side of this triangle are two opposite congruent triangles that further create a set of six sub-triangles. Thus in all, nine triangles are included in this yantra. The nine triangles symbolically indicate the five elements (fire, earth, wind, space and water) and four types of conscience viz. mind, memory, intellect, and ego. This symbol is encircled by a circle on the exterior which points to the circular motion of this universe. The ten petals of the lotus are indicative of the ten senses (five senses of knowledge and five senses of action). As per the yantra shastra (science of yantra), Padmadal (lotus) is a symbol of creation. Every single petal of the lotus is ingrained with a single letter of the ten lettered mantra. The square that exists in the exterior has four symbolic exits and it is called 'bhupoor' according to the yantra shastra. Although a square is the smallest polygon in geometry, it is also a symbol of multifarious creativity. The colour scheme for the yantra also has much significance. The reddish-pink colour represents the 'Shree' i:e Laxmi, Goddess of wealth whereas, blue and yellow represents courage and peace respectively. Green colour represents abundance and welfare. A deep concentration on this yantra will inspire a devotee to uplift himself towards everlasting prosperity in both, the material and spiritual worlds.

Two ancient Yantras i:e Shri Dattatreya Yantra and Shri Bagalamukhi Yantra have also been secretly embedded in Shri Guru Vasudev Yantra. Shri Dattatreya Yantra indicates the strength of the Sadgurutattva. Thus when a devotee concentrates on this yantra or chants a mantra in its presence, he is assured that Lord Dattatreya in the form of the omnipotent 'Vasudeva' will undoubtedly protect the devotees against all the negativity and obstacles that may befall him while traversing the spiritual path. To conclude, the Yantra is not only capable of inspiring the seeker but is also capable of protecting him in the true sense. To get early results, every devotee who chants the mantra in presence of the yantra is expected to meditate on the wordly form of P.P. Shrimat Vasudevanand Saraswati Tembe Swami Maharaj and the formless Sadgurutattva. The essential pre-requisite of doing this sadhana is that a devotee should receive the sadhana from his Sadguru (spiritual teacher). A devotee belonging to any caste, creed, sect, religion or gender can perform this sadhana with full faith and knowledge.

Parampoojya Shri Guruji has successfully completed the resolution of completing the 101 crores naamajapa of the 'Namo Guravey Vasudevay' in the year 2014 which marks the Samadhi centenary year of P.P. Shrimat Vasudevanand Saraswati Tembe Swami Maharaj.
